It was very funny to sat in front of the computer and having to clean all the emails that come back from one reason or another with an error message.
I was cleaning the "error" emails, from a list at the office where I volunteered since November last year. While doing this I had this constant message saying –sorry it didn’t work- while I was thinking on the speech I was going to tell the coordinator to inform her that THIS was my last day of volunteer work.
As our friend Alejandro was telling us before we arrived to Spain, things are not easy here and now we can speak from our own experience and confirm this to all of you!

Yes, so far Madrid has not work for us in terms of employment and we realised that even if we get one, the wages are very low, and probably to get into our professional field it was going to take at least two years, if not five as some of our friends. Is all fine to wait if one really want to, but at the end of the day we need to eat and our savings are running out.
So, after a very difficult week we have decided to leave!
Where to? You must be wondering… Well, when you are making a decision you have to put all the cards on the table. Of course the first one that came to our minds was Australia. I know it won’t take very long to find a job, especially now that I have indeed learnt a lot about project development, the logical framework (design of work plans) and international cooperation. However, although it is tempting to go to the sun, the mardi grass, the clean air, the low level of noise pollution, the amazing landscape of Australia, and our friends, I also know this happiness will last me a few months, and than I will be dissatisfy with it again, so I really would like to live it as the last option. For Mariama, is very tempting, being from the cold north hemisphere, Australia a real heaven, but too far from the family.
So, you may as well go close to family and some kind of heaven place… so we have decided to go to the city of love, PARIS!

Cristina! Y, hola Mariama! Si verdad? A Paris?? ha ha!!!! cada dia viene cerca a Londres. Siento que hay muchos oportunidades para personas artisticos aqui! pero beuno..Paris esta bien tambien. Quiero mucho a ver a los dos! a hablar, a risar, (to laugh????), a recruedar (to remember??). quando tuyos quiere a visitar a Londres, mi casa esta sus casa. xxbesos. siobhan.
