27. La Graduación/The Graduation!

Finalmente, y por primera vez en mi vida tuve una ceremonia de graduación para celebrar my 9.5 de 10 que saque en la tesis final de mi master.

Finally, for the first time of my life I had a graduation ceremony, celebrating my 9.5 out of 10 mark i got for my thesis.

Vanesa, lisa y Mariama me celebraron con torta, y nueve punto cinco tragos de piña colada…

Vanesa, Lisa and Mariama celebrated me with a cake and 9.5 shots of piña colada…

wow! congratulations for all your hard work cris and the engagement and all the other fantastic you two are achieving together.

i have five more days in barcelona. many mixed emotions about leaving. i go to quito and work on the photography project for 6 weeks. i was selected by th AIDS Alliance as photographer for next year´s book. os apart from the project work, i will travel around ecuador to the ngo sites and photograph for 10 days.
after ecuador i will go to northern china to teach english at a university for 8 weeks. i often do stints of this work for an australina TAFE. good $$ and maybe it will also be a time to reflect on this year.
i will be close to mountains and bath houses and massage places. so a bit of work, a bit of relax, a bit of studying more mandarin.
before i know it, i will landing at melbourne airport (3 dec) and readjusting into melbourne life again.
i have a month with my mother, preparing the house (i am sure she will drive me slightly insane) for a big xmas. all four sisters together after a few years apart.
so some intense family weeks for me there!

then i will stay with a good friend at her place near the city until i find a little place for myself.

marco is in india right now. loving every moment of it!
i sense him developing a lovely calmness with every email. something he really needed to go and do.

well wonderful women, keep going, and please keep in touch.

xx marcela
