33. PACSing!

On the 9th of February 2007 at the Mairie of the 12th neighbourhood of Paris, we signed the PACS (Contract of Solidarity).

Mariama, I and our dear friend Berna, when into the Mairie for an "in and out" exercise of signing the PACS, which really took 2,5 hours!

Mariama was so convinced that we were going to go for a very quick event, that we just went on our own, and then Berna, our house mate, who has become a really good friend, joined us in this important moment.

The woman who prepared the PACS for us, made it all very formal and official, which was nice for a change. She gave this moment the weight it deserves, and was happy to be our PACSing official.

Here some "momentos" of the day:

The roses you see on the photos were sent by Yacine, Mariama's twin sister who sent the flowers all the way from London. Thank you Yacine!. At the end of the signing we gave the two roses to the Register Officer, who was very happy to end the day with this kind gesture. But here are the rest of the roses:

We also received lots of greetings from family and friends from Chile, Holland, and Australia. Thank you to all of you, for making this rite of passage a good one to remember.

After the formalities of the PACS we went to celebrate with a few friends, in a tiny chilean corner next to Bastille, in the middle of Paris.
